Internet Sales Representative (ISR) Job Description

The Internet Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for responding to Internet leads via email, phone and face-to-face communication. This position requires high-volume lead handling, including email and phone communications, good qualifying ability, and consultative selling skills to generate new clients and maintain existing customer base. The ISR will be expected to follow the dealership’s defined standards and processes and report on all sales activity in an effort to achieve sales and performance targets set by management and ownership.

Expected Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • College degree preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated phone-based selling skills required along with superior customer service skills
  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, superior time management skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision are essential
  • Superior oral and written communications skills are required (grammar, spelling and professional presentation)
  • Ability to work with computer applications including but not limited to email, web applications, and MS Office products such as Word, Excel and Internet Explorer
  • Ability to meet or exceed revenue and other performance targets set by management

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute dealership’s defined sales and follow-up standards and processes
  • Develop superior product knowledge on all new vehicle models through product training
  • Perform daily walk-through of vehicle inventory to become familiar with in-stock vehicles
  • Assist in developing and maintaining new and pre-owned email templates and talk tracks
  • Respond to incoming new and pre-owned vehicle requests via email, telephone and face-to-face communications using defined email templates and telephone talk tracks
  • Execute dealership’s pricing strategy when responding to all leads
  • Set appointments with customers while maintaining targeted performance standards
  • Perform daily follow-up with all prospects to increase customer appointments and shows
  • Demonstrate new and pre-owned vehicles to customers through walk-around presentations and demonstration drives with the ability to answer all the customers questions
  • Negotiate price and purchase agreement with the customer with high customer satisfaction
  • Deliver sold vehicles according to defined delivery process with high customer satisfaction
  • Record all sales activity in dealership’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Assist the Internet Sales Manager in maintaining and updating dealership website including:
  • All department pages and campaign landing pages
  • New and pre-owned vehicle descriptions, prices and photos
  • Specials and ensure they are current
  • Lead routing, hours of operation, personnel changes and dealership contact information
  • Attend all assigned training courses to further develop personal skill set
  • Perform additional job related duties as requested by dealership management

One day off on a week day

Every other Sunday off

Working hours from 9 Till 6 or 9 Till 8 (alternating)

6 months - 1 year automotive sales experience!

Salary: $50,000.00 to $125,000.00 /year
