ACTION Nissan in Nashville TN is looking for an Experienced Body Shop Technician.

The Automobile Body Technician repairs damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications using hand tools and power tools.  Body Technicians at Berlin City service centers departments can expect a clean, safe and state-of-the-art work environment.


  • Examine damaged vehicles and estimate repair costs
  • Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window-and-seat-operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders
  • Fill depressions with body filler
  • Remove damaged fenders and panels
  • Bolt or weld replacement parts in position, using wrenches or welding equipment.
  • Straighten bent automobile frames
  • File, grind and sand repaired surfaces
  • Refinish repaired surface
  • Aim headlights, align wheels, and bleed hydraulic brake system
  • Paint surfaces after performing body repairs
  • Repair or replace defective mechanical parts


  • Two years (2) of experience as a vehicle body repairer.
  • Ability to interpret vendor catalogs.
  • Frame experience required.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles.
  • Valid driverís license.
  • Ensure current knowledge of latest technical data and repair procedures.
  • Maintain basic tools necessary to complete assigned jobs.
  • Perform quality repairs on assigned repairs. Make a quality check after each repair.
  • Perform all repairs in assigned work areas, unless otherwise instructed by the manager.
  • Complete Technician Inspection thoroughly, when instructed. Assist estimator in determining needed repairs, including parts needs.
  • Maintain ASE certification based on current skill level.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work area at all times. Assist in the cleanup of the team area each evening.
  • Road test all repaired vehicles, regardless of items performed.
  • Complete comprehensive documentation of cause/correction, specifications, and any other pertinent information needed to describe repair activities.
  • Complete all repairs as specifically listed on the menu. Donít shortcut repairs. Perform all items completely.
