Must have valid drivers license, and ability to perform basic maintenance on all makes and models.


  • Ensure current knowledge of latest technical data and service procedures.
  • Maintain basic tools necessary to complete assigned jobs. Clean and lock up all tools daily.
  • Perform quality work on assigned vehicles. Fix the vehicle right the first time!
  • Make a quality check after each repair.
  • Perform all work in assigned work areas, unless otherwise instructed by the Group Leader.
  • Advise manager of any changes or deviations from the original instructions on the repair order.
  • Complete "technician inspection" thoroughly, when instructed. Advise ASM of needed repairs, including parts needs.
  • Attend required service training sessions or meetings. Share expertise with others as needed. Arrive on time and provide only constructive criticism.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work area at all times. Assist in the cleanup of the team area each evening.
  • Inject grease into units, such as springs, universal joints, and steering knuckles, using hand or compressed-air powered grease gun.
  • Inspect fluid levels of steering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential, rear axle housings, and shackles.
  • Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil.
  • Spray leaf springs with lubricant, using spray gun.
  • Add water to radiator and battery.
  • Replace oil and air filters.
  • Sell lubrication and safety inspection services and maintain related records on regular customers, following up periodically with telephone, mail, or personal reminders.
  • Complete comprehensive documentation of cause / correction, specifications, and any other pertinent information needed to describe repair activities.
  • Keep customer vehicles clean and do not move radio stations.
  • Respond to requests by manager for diagnosis of problems / customer needs 
  • Complete all menu items as specifically listed on the menu. Do not shortcut maintenance items. Perform all items completely.
  • Maintain ability to use all company equipment and tools correctly, or seek assistance as needed.
  • Achieve customer satisfaction goals measured by manufacturer surveys.
